Height countries was represented : Myanmar-Japan-Thailand-Laos-
Vietnam-Malaysia-Singapore-Philippines and the guest of honor was our
Sensei, Fukakusa Shihan. This seminar was wonderfully organized by
Mr U Mya Sein, chief instructor and president of the Myanmar Aikikai
new organization and all his members. The atmosphere during those two
days was very friendly and the "Aikido friendship spirit" was at a
high level as our host welcome us with so much kindness. Two days
of classes mostly conducted by Fukakusa Shihan was very interesting
and followed with a lot of attention by all participants. The training
was intense , serious and also fun. At the end of the second day a
grading was held and four Myanmar Aikodokas has past their second and
third dan. Later it was the turn of U Mya Sein to present his 4th
Dan. This was a very intense moment and all of us , examinations and
guess , was absolutely astonished by the high level and quality of
Aikido presented. Then in the evening for the farewell dinner the
Minister of sports in Myanmar came to visit and we had a wonderful
Burmese dancing show and Aikido demonstration (on stage, not matt) by
the Myanmar students.
Congratulations for this successful first seminar in Myanmar.
